At the BEL Boatyard we design and build each client a bespoke board. Each board combines the aesthetic beauty of locally sourced timbers surrounding a recyclable foam core for performance and durability. It's like getting fitted for a new suit or wedding dress.

We design each board on our in-house CAD package and send it to get the recyclable EPS foam, milled on a 5 axis machine. The blank then arrives back at the boatyard for final shaping, strengthening and then vacuum bagging. Each board takes approx. 2 weeks from initial design through to final touches to create.
 
Built from locally harvested wood, we put our hearts into each board we build, bringing them to life first in our shop, and again every time you paddle out.
 
The result is the board of a lifetime. Our SUPs are hand-built using time honoured woodworking techniques and local, sustainable softwoods that naturally produce artful grain patterns on every board. Our love of the water and our passion for working wood, inspire us to create beautiful and functional surfboards designed to last forever.
